The people behind the brand

While my business studies took me to Palmerston North I am proud to say that I am a Wellingtonian! And this wonderful city has given me so many marvellous opportunities over the years! From a career viewpoint I have been heavily involved in HR, both within organisations and as an external, freelance consultant. I have had some great times and experiences!
Like Richard, sport has always been an integral part of my life and I also share Richard's interest in cricket.
Well the word "interest" is perhaps an understatement! It is very much part of my and our family's lives. That, and my interest in the boys' education, has meant I have also put my hand up for roles within various school boards, committees and fundraising groups. Just try and stop me from getting involved in those sorts of things! I think they are extremely important particularly if I can see ways of challenging the status quo and influencing change for the better. I am not backward in coming forward where critical issues need to be addressed.
At first I was a bit hesitant about being involved with Redvespa but as the company grew and became busier and Richard became busier it was obvious I could bring certain skills to the company. Within Redvespa I am able to provide strategy, policy, organisation, support and HR input. I really enjoy the work that I do: seeing our team is happy because they have a great place to work, have the right development opportunities and are being looked after – that's a great satisfaction! So too is the knowledge that things are running smoothly and our clients are happy!
